A few hours ago there was a post to the spanking forum of an Internet site called FetLife. It threw out a question for discussion: “What do people think of polite spankers?” I immediately thought of you, Erzulie. Here is what I wrote in reply:
“Politeness can be very effective. The pro domme I’ve been seeing for almost a year now is unfailingly polite, unless I’ve upset her, in which case she uses whatever toy is in her hand at the moment to do her talking. When she does say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’, it is said softly but that just adds to her command of the situation. Occasionally, she may say those words mockingly, if I’m too slow to respond.
